When Old Is New Again

When we were in Joplin for my dad's installation, my mom told me to go through specific boxes in the garage looking for things she had packed up for us. One of the things that she had packed up (that I remember playing with quite a bit) was this little instrument set. While it doesn't have the recorder piece anymore (kinda a major missing piece, but there's still enough to do), it does have the slide, kazoo, and whistle.

Timmy really enjoys taking it out of the box (all the pieces, not just what he's going to use) and then only putting together two pieces. This is his usual instrument. The funny thing is he hasn't quite figured out how to just blow to get the whistle sound. He puts the whole thing in his mouth, makes the sound himself, and then actually makes the sound when he breathes in. What a goof! At least he seems to really enjoy the toy though, which is what matters the most.
