A Saturday in Tucson

We decided to have a low-key Saturday because we would be going to church that night with Erik's parents.  Originally we weren't going to go anywhere because of the amount of time it takes to get somewhere and Timmy needing to take a nap.  Erik's mom suggested we go to a little town called Tubac which ended up being a good time.  We didn't stay long both because it was a little cold still (even though most of the snow had melted) and Timmy could only last so long before needing a nap.  It was an interesting place and one that I would totally go back to at a later point.

Even though we were told by Erik's parents that church was casual, we decided to dress up.  We did this because first of all, we thought it was the right thing to do and second, we brought the clothes so we wanted to wear them.  We brought down Timmy's suit so that he could get a few wears out of it and we had some regular dress clothes for ourselves.  I don't know if it was because his nap got interrupted or what, but Timmy threw a royal fit when we tried to put his tie on.  I didn't think it was a big deal so we just let it go (it's easier that way anyway) and headed off to church.

After church we drove through a neighborhood decorated with Christmas lights, similar to Candy Cane Lane here in Milwaukee (or is it technically West Allis?).  It was beautiful.  They had LED lights strung high up into the trees and people were walking around as well as driving.  It was a great time and I'm so glad we went.  There were cars everywhere which was understandable because it was the last night.

While I don't have any pictures of the Christmas lights, I do have a few of Tubac and other things we did around the house, enjoy!
