Timmy's Christmas Pageant

Well, better late than never! Here are a few pictures from Timmy's first Christmas Pageant. His class were angels (as you can see by their halos and wings). I think he had a lot of fun, especially enjoying the cookies and sugary punch at the end.

Here's Timmy's class walking into the gym at Pilgrim Lutheran School (former school? what do you say when the school has been closed?). This picture was taken about 2 seconds before Timmy saw me and tried to come sit by us instead of with his class.
After the program, all the kids sat and waited for their families to come over and get them. Have you ever taken pictures in a gym? It's pretty hard for lighting and flash and all of that stuff. The members of his class are: Lucas (with his head turned away), Anthony (who cried during the little pageant), Timmy, Dane, and little girl whose name I don't remember.
A typical picture of Timmy and I...
A nice picture of Timmy and Erik. We have a similar one from Dave's wedding.
Uncle Paul and Auntie Katie came fresh from picking out their Christmas tree to see Timmy's performance.
Uncle Jake came up for the weekend all the way from Indiana just to see Timmy in his first pageant. Auntie Amy would have come but she was hanging out with her other nieces and nephews up in Alaska that weekend.
Cheese!

Happy 5th Anniversary to my brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Katie! May each year that you share together be filled with as much joy and love as these first five have been.

Timmy's 3rd Birthday Continued

After taking a break so Timmy could take a nap and Paul and Katie could go to Bible study, we met up at Paul and Katie's for dinner and presents.  Timmy had a really good time and enjoyed spinning Paul in our Grandpa Heintz's old chair.  We tried to get him to spin other people and stuffed animals but they just weren't as much fun.

We had some pizza from Papa Murphy's (I've never had it before, it was pretty good!) and then opened presents.  Timmy got a cobbler bench, a tool box, and some bubbles.  He was so excited that he wanted them all open right away.  He was able to play with everything but the bubbles (which was just fine).

After presents we ate some cookie cake where I tried to spell out Katie and Tim in candles because we hadn't celebrated Katie's birthday yet either.  Katie, Timmy, and I blew out the candles and enjoyed the cookie cake.  Good thing we brought cookie cake because Paul doesn't like regular cake (or frosting apparently).

After the cookie, Timmy played with the toys and then read some books with Uncle Paul.  They read The Saggy Baggy Elephant and Paul taught Timmy how to make an elephant sound.  He has practiced every day since and gets a big kick out of trying.  There are a few pictures below and the rest can be found here.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to by best friend Katie and her husband Ryan.  It was such a joy to be a part of your wedding.  I really enjoyed it (being 7 months pregnant and all).  I hope that you two continue to have a life filled with love and respect.  I really miss being able to hang out with you whenever we want but am glad for the closeness that we continue to share.  Congratulations my friend!
