Last Wednesday, Timmy was able to take his first field trip with his class. I wanted to go but there were more than enough parents (maybe next time). So I dropped Timmy off, went to work (because really, why waste the 4 hours that he was busy?) and then went back to pick him up.
All the three and four year olds were able to go on the field trip if they wanted. They went to the Family Farm (we're thinking it was up in Grafton) where they went through a little maze, pet some animals (and not just rabbits as I was told by Timmy) and each child got to pick out a pumpkin.
When I picked his up, Timmy was calmly sitting listening to a story. Then he started talking almost non-stop about the trip. First he made sure we took his pumpkin home. He wanted to hold it on the way home (no complaints here). Then he talked all about riding on a bus (apparently that was one of the most exciting parts for him) and seeing the animals. Sounds like he had a really good time!
He keeps talking about going to the pumpkin farm and asking if he can ride the bus again. Maybe next time little man!
